About the role
The Data Scientist will design, develop and operationalise machine‑learning models that support Emirates NBD’s Advanced Analytics Centre of Excellence initiatives, collaborating closely with product owners, business translators and data engineering teams.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver a strong roadmap of advanced analytics projects in collaboration with Business Units.
- Design and implement machine‑learning models to achieve business objectives and targets.
- Document artefacts and reusable code for future use.
- Conduct knowledge‑sharing sessions internally within the CoE and externally at meetups or conferences.
Required profile
- University degree; an advanced degree (MS/PhD) in Computer Applications, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or a related technical discipline is desirable.
- 6‑8 years of experience in a data‑science role.
- Proven experience working in agile environments with multiple business stakeholders.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Python or R.
- Experience with large data sets and distributed computing tools such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark and MapReduce.
- Strong analytical, statistical modelling and problem‑solving abilities.
