Data Security Specialist

About the role

The Data Security Specialist will join our security operations team in the UAE to protect sensitive information across on‑premise and cloud environments. You will be the first line of defense for data‑related alerts, incidents and policy enforcement, ensuring compliance and minimizing risk.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line triage for alerts, user queries and basic incidents; execute runbooks and escalate per SLA.
• Perform detailed analysis, tuning, rule creation and remediation for DLP, classification and IRM platforms.
• Lead advanced investigations, root‑cause analysis, containment, custom scripting and integration with SIEM/SOAR tools.
• Own the full incident lifecycle from detection to post‑incident review and produce RCA reports.
• Identify and implement improvements to detection fidelity, reduce false positives and automate repetitive tasks.
• Collaborate with governance, legal and compliance teams to design, review and enforce data security policies.
• Manage deployment, hardening, patching, backup and monitoring of DLP, classification and IRM servers (on‑prem and cloud).
• Architect solution designs, produce design documents and conduct threat‑modeling for data‑flow changes.
• Lead technical transitions, migrations and transformation initiatives such as cloud enablement and SaaS adoption.
• Engage stakeholders across SOC, IT operations, identity, legal, data owners and business units; provide regular KPI dashboards and executive reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience in data security operations, incident response and DLP/IRM technologies.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct root‑cause analysis and produce clear documentation.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work with cross‑functional teams and external vendors.
