Deputy Registrar of Companies (Emirati) – Dubai

About the role

The Deputy Registrar of Companies supports the Registrar in managing statutory, regulatory and operational functions related to company registration, licensing and compliance in the UAE. This senior position ensures adherence to legal frameworks, delivers high‑quality service and engages with key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Support administration and interpretation of Companies Law, Operating Law, Insolvency and related regulations.
• Oversee company incorporation, licensing and classification, ensuring compliance with SLAs and internal procedures.
• Assist in implementing AML/CFT, ESR, FATCA and CRS compliance frameworks and coordinate with inspection teams.
• Participate in internal committees, prepare reports, agendas and decision documentation.
• Liaise with government entities, regulatory authorities and external partners, representing the Registrar as delegated.
• Improve registry processes, digital systems and monitor KPIs to enhance service excellence.
• Support team management, coaching, and workforce planning.

Required profile

• 8–12 years of experience in legal, regulatory or government roles, preferably within government, free zones or regulatory bodies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law (Master’s preferred).
• Strong knowledge of UAE legal and regulatory frameworks.
