Design Manager – Facade

About the role

The Design Manager – Facade will lead the design office team to deliver façade design solutions that meet project specifications, budgets, and schedules. This permanent position is based in Abu Dhabi and focuses on coordinating design activities, ensuring quality, and supporting production hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate and monitor design office resources to meet project timelines and budgets.
• Implement action plans from project kickoff meetings and prepare detailed activity schedules.
• Maintain up‑to‑date drawing server files and ensure compliance with QA/HSE standards.
• Review and approve shop drawings before submission to clients.
• Collaborate with the Technical Director on system designs and recommend improvements.
• Assist in resolving design issues with contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
• Standardize design elements and materials to improve production efficiency.
• Identify and evaluate new technologies that could enhance façade systems and processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in façade or related design disciplines.
• Proven ability to manage multi‑disciplinary design teams and resources.
• Strong understanding of project documentation, contracts, and construction specifications.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
