Development Manager

About the role

The Development Manager leads real‑estate developments from initial idea through concept design to handover, ensuring feasibility, governance and quality standards are met at every stage.

Key responsibilities

• Assist project teams in defining scope, budget, programme and success criteria during initiation and support approval preparation.
• Facilitate feasibility studies and option appraisals, assessing technical, commercial and market viability against strategic objectives.
• Coordinate cross‑functional collaboration among planning, design, finance, legal, sales and other stakeholders throughout concept and pre‑construction phases.
• Support governance processes, stage‑gate submissions and stakeholder input to keep projects on track.
• Prepare development papers, project updates and supporting documentation for management review.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, real‑estate development, project management or related discipline; Master’s preferred.
• Professional membership with RIBA, RICS, APM or PMP is preferred.
• 10–12 years of experience in real‑estate development, project management or master planning, preferably with a master developer or large mixed‑use projects.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and external consultants across RIBA stages.
• Experience in business transformation, process optimisation or capability development programmes.
