Digital Content Manager – Website & Content Editor

About the role

Emirates Loves is seeking a Digital Content Manager to own and operate its website end‑to‑end. You will be responsible for publishing news, event coverage and maintaining the site’s technical health while supporting the broader community platform.

Key responsibilities

• Administer daily website operations, publishing workflow and content calendar.
• Write and publish news articles, event announcements, previews and post‑event coverage.
• Build and maintain event landing pages, coordinating visuals, schedules and registration links.
• Source, edit and optimise photography, video and copy for web use.
• Plan, write and send newsletters and email campaigns to community members and partners.
• Handle on‑page SEO, metadata, page speed and accessibility basics.
• Collaborate with designers and developers on site improvements and new sections.
• Track traffic and engagement using analytics to inform future publishing.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience in web content management, digital editorial or online journalism.
• Excellent written English; professional Arabic strongly preferred.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to meet event‑driven deadlines, including occasional evenings/weekends.
• Real news instinct – quickly turning events into clear, accurate stories.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with WordPress development and custom dashboard creation.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and WordPress best practices.
• Knowledge of responsive design, UX principles and good design sense.
• Working knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics and Search Console.
• Basic image and video editing using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
