Director Forensic Audit - UAE National

About the role

Du is hiring a Director Forensic Audit in Dubai, a UAE national position within its internal control and audit function. The role leads special investigations and forensic audits, advises senior management on internal controls and ensures the forensic function complies with its own policies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct special investigations professionally and on time, based on requests from the Audit Committee, Head of Internal Control, whistleblowing channels or management, prioritized by risk and urgency.
• Monitor, analyse and present performance and status reports to the Head of Internal Control.
• Review, manage and comply with ad hoc audit requirements of the Audit Committee and management.
• Direct and facilitate the team in executing assigned work, and advise senior executives and management on best practices and corrective measures.
• Build strong relationships with business stakeholders and monitor agreed action plans to ensure implementation.
• Plan and manage forensic, special and financial audits, including objectives, scope, approach and testing, and validate findings with business owners.
• Prepare, review and issue detailed audit reports and summary presentations to executive management.
• Assess the forensic function's compliance with the internal control manual, review its objectives and continuously improve its efficiency, reliability and integrity.
• Provide consultancy and support to other departments and prepare regular updates for the Audit Committee on forensic case status.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline from an accredited institution; CPA, CA, ACCA or CIA certification preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting and auditing (8 years for UAE nationals).
• Prior experience in a large telecom domain with knowledge of regional and international best practices is preferable.
