Director of Academic Excellence (Remote)

About the role

2 Hour Learning is seeking a visionary leader to shape and execute its evidence‑based academic model that enables students to learn at double speed within a two‑hour daily window. This remote senior position will drive academic strategy, ensure rigorous standards across school sites, and serve as the public face of the movement.

Key responsibilities

• Design academic frameworks that translate learning‑science research into concrete curriculum, motivation, and application guidelines.
• Conduct execution reviews with Heads of Academics to maintain alignment, accountability, and high performance.
• Integrate data, stakeholder interviews, and observations into ecosystem assessments to pinpoint obstacles and recommend targeted interventions.
• Maintain strategic coherence through planning cycles, feedback loops, and milestone management focused on learning outcomes.
• Represent 2 Hour Learning externally, delivering keynote presentations and engaging with ministries of education worldwide.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in academic leadership or EdTech, with a track record of measurable impact.
• Demonstrated ability to translate scientific research into operational practice and to communicate results to diverse audiences.
