Director of Architecture – Middle East

About the role

The firm is a well‑established international architectural consultancy seeking a Director of Architecture to lead its Architecture business unit across the Middle East. This senior leadership position will shape the strategic direction, grow the design team and strengthen client relationships for major mixed‑use, hospitality, commercial and residential projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Architecture department across the region.
• Build, mentor and grow a high‑performing team of architects and design leaders.
• Define the strategic direction and drive long‑term growth of the Architecture business unit.
• Oversee design quality and provide leadership on multiple major projects.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with key clients, developers and stakeholders.
• Support business development activities and expand existing client relationships.
• Improve operational performance, team capability and project delivery processes.
• Collaborate with the executive leadership team on business planning and regional growth initiatives.

Required profile

• Extensive experience leading architectural teams within a recognised international practice or major regional consultancy.
• Proven senior leadership credentials, preferably at Associate Director, Design Director or Director level.
• Demonstrated ability to drive business growth and manage large‑scale, complex projects.
• Strong client‑facing skills and a track record of winning new work.
