Director of Human Resources

About the role

As a member of the Executive Committee, the Director of Human Resources leads all HR functions for the hotel, shaping people strategy to support business objectives and a positive associate experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the hotel’s HR strategy aligned with brand standards and business goals.
• Advise the General Manager and Executive Committee on all people‑related matters.
• Partner with department leaders on workforce planning, talent acquisition, succession planning and organisational effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with UAE labour law, government regulations and company policies.
• Drive a high‑performance culture that enhances engagement, retention and productivity.
• Oversee recruitment, performance management, grievance handling and conflict resolution.
• Champion learning and development programmes for leadership growth and operational excellence.
• Monitor HR metrics (turnover, engagement, absenteeism) and implement improvement actions.
• Collaborate with Finance on payroll, labour cost management and budgeting.
• Promote a safe working environment and maintain relationships with hospitality schools and industry networks.

Required profile

• Proven senior HR leadership experience in the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of UAE labour law and HR compliance.
• Excellent communication, coaching and stakeholder‑management skills.
• High emotional intelligence and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
• Business acumen with understanding of financial and operational drivers.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Experience with HR information systems.
• Ability to analyse HR data and drive business decisions.
