Director of Quantity Surveying

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveying professional to lead cost management and commercial functions across a portfolio of high‑value real estate developments. The role will ensure financial efficiency, cost control, and value optimisation from project inception through to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the quantity surveying and cost management function across multiple residential, mixed‑use, hospitality and commercial projects.
• Develop and implement cost strategies, budgets and financial controls aligned with project and business objectives.
• Oversee cost planning, estimation, benchmarking and value engineering throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage procurement strategies, tender processes and contractor negotiations to achieve best value.
• Monitor project costs, cash flow and financial performance, ensuring alignment with approved budgets.
• Identify and mitigate commercial risks while maximising cost efficiency and profitability.
• Review and manage contracts, variations and claims to ensure compliance and cost control.
• Collaborate closely with design, development and construction teams to optimise outcomes.
• Provide strategic commercial insights and reporting to senior leadership.
• Build, lead and mentor a high‑performing quantity surveying team.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in quantity surveying or cost management within real estate or construction.
• Proven experience managing large‑scale development projects with significant values.
• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related field.
• Professional membership (e.g., MRICS) highly preferred.
• Experience in the GCC or UAE is advantageous.
