Director of Training & Quality

About the role

Kempinski is looking for a Director of Training & Quality for its Human Resources & Training department in Dubai. The role keeps quality standards, practices and scores improving across the hotel, uses Kempinski's offline and online learning tools to grow talent, and helps the hotel deliver exceptional guest service and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Set up a Kempinski-standard training network, spend time in operations, and plan, design and deliver training programmes
• Analyse training needs and effectiveness, and ensure corporate training modules are implemented and reflect hotel policies
• Develop the Training BITE library, embed Kempinski training tools and track their implementation
• Plan a training marketing strategy and use e-learning platform data to improve learning performance
• Coach managers and departmental trainers, coordinate learning for EXCOM and HODs, and organise Kempinski DNA and brand immersion activities
• Train and develop the training team, identify Master Trainer candidates, and complete KEA checks and the monthly training report
• Work with department heads on quality performance using the Kempinski Experience Assessment Tool (KEA) and ReviewPro, investigate quality concerns and conduct regular quality audits
• Prepare the yearly training budget, run annual self-audits, and implement Kempinski corporate training policies
• Build partnerships with external suppliers and training providers, and take on stretch projects and peer audits assigned by the General Manager

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or similar from an accredited institution, with a background in tourism/hotel management or education
• One year in a similar position within a luxury brand
• Ability to work and communicate in a multinational environment
