Document Controller - Project Document Control

About the role

Masdar, the UAE's clean energy company, is hiring a Document Controller for a project in As Sadawi. You will act as the focal point for all project document control activities, ensuring that documentation is processed according to approved procedures and that document control flows smoothly through every phase of the project.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and process all project documentation according to approved document control procedures or best practice.
• Set up and maintain an effective hardcopy and electronic filing system that records documents for reference in case of later queries or disputes.
• Coordinate and develop project distribution matrices so that relevant documents and correspondence reach all recipients on time.
• Administer and support the use of the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) and complementary platforms, including access management and sharing with third parties.

Required profile

• Technical diploma, engineering degree or Computer Science graduate.
• At least 5 years of experience in document control and data management on complex projects.
• Strong communication skills in English, verbal and written.
• Ability to work effectively across different organisations and business units.

Required skills

• In-depth experience with EDMS used in document control and data management.
• Proficiency with document control software and EDMS in oil and gas, petrochemical, renewable energy and EPCM sectors, such as ACX, SAP DMS, SPF, OpenText and others.
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Pro and basic knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation and Visio.
