Doorman

About the role

An Accor hotel in Dubai is looking for a full-time Doorman. The role greets guests and visitors on arrival and departure, assists them with entry and exit, and helps create a positive first impression. The hotel belongs to the Accor network, which brings together more than 45 brands, 5,500 hotels, 10,000 restaurants and lifestyle destinations.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests and visitors warmly on arrival and departure.
• Open and close doors for guests and assist with entry and exit.
• Assist guests with luggage and coordinate with the Bell Desk when needed.
• Inform guests about hotel facilities, services and directions.
• Keep the entrance area clean, organised and presentable.
• Coordinate with Security and Front Office to ensure guest safety and smooth operations.
• Manage traffic flow at the entrance, including taxis and private vehicles.
• Respond promptly to guest inquiries, requests and complaints, escalating when necessary.
• Stay aware of daily events, VIP arrivals and in-house activities, and report suspicious activity or safety concerns to Security immediately.
• Maintain grooming standards and a professional appearance.
• Support during busy periods and special events, and pass information to the next shift.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; previous experience in hospitality, customer service or a similar hotel role is preferred.
• Physically fit, able to stand for long periods and work flexible shifts.
• Ability to follow grooming standards and maintain a professional appearance.

Required skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with courteous and efficient service to guests.
• Additional languages are an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of hotel services, safety and security procedures.
