Drilling Specialist – Cementing II

About the role

The Specialist, Drilling (Cementing II) will lead lump‑sum turnkey campaigns for unconventional drilling and testing activities, supporting ADNOC Exploration’s Biogenic Shallow Gas projects. The role combines technical oversight, cost control, and coordination with service companies to ensure safe, on‑schedule well delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Define and manage the scope of work for lump‑sum turnkey drilling campaigns, including UBD, MLT and multi‑stage fracturing.
• Report and update drilling and well‑operations activities to ensure alignment with project plans.
• Lead Integrated Project Management teams of service contractors to execute Biogenic Gas wells.
• Review, endorse, and approve drilling programs, well plans and AFE documents.
• Collaborate with petroleum, reservoir and petrophysics engineers to develop full‑field development plans.
• Provide technical advice to the Exploration function on drilling planning and well prognosis.
• Supervise field activities, train staff, and ensure compliance with company and international standards.
• Support budget preparation, monitor cost variances and drive performance improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 96 months (8 years) of experience in drilling, cementing or workover engineering.
• Proven experience with unconventional drilling techniques and multi‑stage fracturing.
• Strong understanding of project cost control, rig scheduling and turnkey contract management.
• Ability to coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams and communicate technical information clearly.
