Duty Manager - Sinyar Graduate Programme (Retail)

About the role

SINYAR is Al-Futtaim's graduate development programme, where participants join the business in a defined position while following a structured development path. As part of the Sinyar Graduate Programme, Al-Futtaim Retail is looking for a Duty Manager. The role suits fresh graduates with a minimum GPA of 2.8, or candidates with up to 1 year of relevant experience meeting the same GPA requirement. You will gain hands-on experience in store operations, customer experience, team coordination, stock management and commercial performance, learning from experienced store leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day running of the store with the store leadership team, including opening and closing procedures, shift coordination and store standards.
• Learn operational and administrative processes such as cash and store controls.
• Engage with customers, support high customer-service standards and help resolve queries and improve the customer journey.
• Work with experienced managers to build retail leadership skills and team coordination.
• Support stock availability, replenishment, inventory, stock transfers and cyclic counts, and work with Visual Merchandising to keep products well presented.
• Learn how sales performance and store KPIs are monitored and how staffing, service, availability and merchandising affect results.
• Learn store SOPs and support compliance with health, safety and trading requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum GPA of 2.8 or above; fresh graduate or up to 1 year of relevant experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, customer-focused mindset and interest in retail operations.
• Organised, proactive and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn, take ownership and develop leadership capabilities.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
