Electrical Maintenance Shift Supervisor

About the role

Guardian Glass is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Shift Supervisor to lead a team of technicians on a 24/7 manufacturing plant in Ras Al Khaimah. The role focuses on safety, reliability, and continuous improvement of plant equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of 5‑6 technicians, driving a principled management culture and ensuring high‑quality craft work.
• Plan, prioritize and execute corrective, preventive and condition‑based maintenance, including CPSS and emergency asset maintenance.
• Prepare work procedures, job hazard analyses, permits, and conduct RAP sessions and cross‑department meetings.
• Collaborate with production, process, area and safety engineers to schedule maintenance activities and manage contractor performance.
• Monitor equipment performance data (MTBF, failure trends) and implement reliability improvement actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Significant experience in medium‑to‑large continuous process manufacturing.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 plant.
• Proven ability to manage contractors, conduct root‑cause analysis and lead a technical team.

Required skills

• PLC programming, HMI, SCADA (GE iFix), Profibus, VFDs, induction and servo motors.
• Work permits (hot work, confined space, working at height) and EH&S compliance.
• Experience with EAM, SAP, MS Word and Excel for maintenance reporting.
• Hands‑on troubleshooting of conveyors, batching scales, mixing equipment, furnaces, glass handling, utility pumps, compressors, vacuum pumps and stackers.
• Knowledge of 33 kV and LV switchgear, diesel generators and industrial instrumentation calibration.
