Electrical Purchaser (Protection & Control Systems)

About the role

The Electrical Purchaser is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating the procurement of electrical equipment, protection relays, control panels, substation automation systems, and related components required for power distribution and substation projects.

Key responsibilities

• Procure electrical materials and equipment for substation, protection, control, and automation projects.
• Source and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors.
• Review RFQs, BOQs, specifications, and technical requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering, estimation, and project teams regarding material requirements.
• Issue RFQs, evaluate quotations, and prepare comparison sheets.
• Prepare and manage Purchase Orders and track deliveries.
• Develop and maintain relationships with OEMs and suppliers.
• Identify alternative suppliers and cost‑saving opportunities.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Procurement experience in electrical, substation, power distribution, automation, or control system projects.
• Experience procuring protection & control equipment and solar PV components.
• UAE/GCC experience preferred.

• Sourcing and negotiating with OEMs and suppliers for solar, electrical, and automation equipment
