Regional Procurement Manager – Middle East & Asia

About the role

The organisation is a leading global chemicals manufacturer undergoing a procurement transformation. Based in Dubai, the Regional Procurement Manager will oversee procurement activities across the Middle East and Asia, linking global strategy with local manufacturing needs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead procurement for chemical manufacturing operations, translating global category strategies into site‑level actions, especially for direct materials.
• Develop and influence site‑based procurement and purchasing teams across the region.
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality and senior regional leadership to ensure alignment.
• Support implementation of new procurement processes, systems, governance and standardized ways of working.
• Identify savings, efficiencies and value‑creation opportunities while maintaining security of supply.
• Drive consistency in procurement governance, compliance and supplier management.
• Represent regional requirements within the wider Procurement Leadership Team.

Required profile

• Significant procurement experience in the chemicals industry, preferably specialty chemicals, coatings, resins or polymers.
• Strong direct procurement background sourcing raw materials and chemicals for manufacturing.
• Understanding of chemical manufacturing operations, supply chains and supplier markets.
• Experience in global, multi‑site, matrix organisations with regional responsibility.
• Proven involvement in procurement transformation, change management and implementation of new processes or systems.
• Ability to manage and develop procurement teams through matrix or dotted‑line reporting.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influence with senior regional and site leadership.
