Procurement Officer (UAE National)

About the role

The Procurement Officer will source suppliers, obtain competitive quotations, negotiate prices and payment terms, and ensure timely procurement of materials, products, and services in line with company requirements. The role focuses on cost optimisation, supplier relationship management, quality assurance, and compliance with procurement procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers to meet procurement needs.
• Obtain and compare quotations from multiple suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions.
• Prepare and process purchase orders according to approved requisitions and company policies.
• Coordinate with internal departments to understand purchasing requirements and delivery timelines.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Monitor purchase orders, pending deliveries, and outstanding supplier commitments.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree.
• Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
