Elevator Adjuster

About the role

Decision Management Consultants is recruiting an Elevator Adjuster for one of its clients, a leading engineering company in Dubai that provides elevator and vertical transportation solutions. The client specialises in the installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance and modernisation of elevator systems for residential, commercial and industrial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Adjust and test critical operating parameters such as speed, acceleration, leveling, braking and door operation.
• Test all safety control devices, including emergency stops, alarm bells and governors, to ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
• Prepare inspection reports and field test data to verify compliance with required standards.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical malfunctions during final testing and commissioning.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams and technical manuals to perform accurate adjustments.
• Perform final electrical connections, integrate elevator systems with building management networks and complete the final installation.
• Support project teams during third-party inspections, client inspections and consultant approvals.

Required profile

• Industrial Training Institute or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics or a related field.
• Minimum 4-6 years of experience as an Elevator Adjuster or in elevator testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with project teams, clients and consultants.

Required skills

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to diagnose electrical and mechanical issues.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical layout drawings, schematics and technical documents.
• Hands-on experience installing, adjusting, testing and commissioning elevator systems.
• Knowledge of elevator safety standards, testing procedures and commissioning processes.
