Engineer I, Research, Studies & Publication

About the role

The Engineer I will support research, studies and publication activities for AL TAIF, a leading provider of maintenance, repair and overhaul services for the UAE Armed Forces. Reporting to senior engineering staff, the role combines technical design support with project coordination to ensure customer requirements are met efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Engineer II, Project Management as a secondary contact for customer inquiries.
• Capture and document mechanical and electrical project requirements.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to detailed project planning, scheduling and resource allocation.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely, professional delivery.
• Conduct feasibility studies and bridge gaps between customer needs and practical solutions.
• Participate in customer‑engineering design meetings.
• Record lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
• Support risk and issue analysis for project delivery.
• Prepare monthly project reports for senior management.
• Apply project management tools to track deliverables.
• Maintain technical knowledge through workshops and professional networks.
• Uphold confidentiality, contractual obligations and AL TAIF HSE standards.
• Assist other engineering team members as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (required).
• 1‑3 years of relevant professional experience.
• At least 1 year of project management experience preferred.
• Exposure to engineering design in electrical or mechanical systems is a plus.
• Interest in PMP or PRINCE2 certification is advantageous.
