Engineer II – Special Processes

About the role

The Engineer II – Special Processes is a hands‑on technical position supporting the development, qualification and industrialisation of aerospace special processes for Powertech’s propulsion programmes, including turbofan, microjet and piston engines.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, qualify and continuously improve special processes for rotating, structural and hot‑section engine components.
• Support creation and maintenance of manufacturing routings, process specifications, work instructions and control plans.
• Assist with process validation activities such as first‑article inspection, capability studies and industrial qualification.
• Provide NPI and production support, including ramp‑up, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
• Participate in concurrent engineering, offering manufacturing feedback during design reviews.
• Interact with external special‑process suppliers, conduct supplier reviews and support shop‑floor trials.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Aerospace or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in aerospace or propulsion manufacturing.
• Hands‑on expertise in at least two of the listed special‑process technologies.
• Experience supporting NPI, prototype builds or production environments.
• Knowledge of aerospace materials such as titanium alloys, nickel‑based superalloys, stainless steels and aluminium alloys.
