Engineering Apprentice – Systems Engineering

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space Saudi Limited is looking for a motivated Engineering Apprentice to join its multidisciplinary team. The apprentice gains hands-on experience in Systems Engineering, Verification and Validation (V&V), Integration and ITCOMs (Information Technology and Communications) on complex technical projects, with structured mentorship and training.

Key responsibilities

• Support Systems Engineering activities, including requirements analysis, system design documentation and interface management.
• Assist in V&V by helping define test cases, run tests and document results to ensure system compliance.
• Take part in hardware and software integration, troubleshoot interoperability issues and support system-level testing.
• Contribute to ITCOMs projects by helping deploy, configure and maintain communication and IT infrastructure.
• Work with cross-functional teams to solve technical challenges and meet project milestones.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and follow quality and safety standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Excellent spoken and written English, as the work is international and involves technical documentation.
• Willingness to travel domestically to support site integrations, testing or client visits.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of systems engineering, testing methodologies or IT/network concepts is a plus.
• Proficiency in technical documentation and familiarity with tools such as Jira or Confluence is beneficial.
