Inspector - Corrosion Control and Cathodic Protection

About the role

ADNOC is looking for an Inspector in Abu Dhabi to perform tasks related to the installation, testing and maintenance of corrosion control and monitoring systems, preventing its facilities from internal and external corrosion. The role covers surveys, inspections, coating checks and preventive corrosion protection programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct corrosion monitoring and cathodic protection surveys and assess the findings
• Maintain performance measures for the pipeline chemical treatment programme
• Coordinate with maintenance support services on the planning and inspection of protective coating, insulation, fireproofing and refractory works
• Prepare and run an inspection programme for tanks, pipelines, structures and pressure vessels to ensure integrity and safety
• Carry out preventive, periodic corrosion protection programmes on tanks, pipelines, vessels and other equipment
• Plan and run corrosion tests and special cathodic protection procedures to keep equipment at minimum corrosion levels
• Carry out comprehensive coating surveys of plant equipment and recommend corrective actions
• Ensure all corrosion work complies with regulations and industry standards, and coordinate with manufacturers and vendors on corrosion-resistant materials and coatings

Required profile

• Diploma or Higher Diploma in Electrical, Chemical or Metallurgy
• 5 years of experience in corrosion monitoring and cathodic protection, including six months of on-the-job training
• Good knowledge of English and Arabic
• Valid UAE driving licence
• API certifications recommended
