Engineering Associate - UAE National

About the role

Johnson Controls is offering its Emirati Engineering Program, a fast-track initiative for UAE nationals to build skills and experience as a future leader in the UAE and across the Middle East and Africa. The program consists of six assignments over two years covering installation and service operations and technical sales (pre-sales, inside sales and front-line sales).

Key responsibilities

• Installation and service operations: read engineering drawings, schematics and specifications; diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues; set up and calibrate equipment; carry out routine maintenance and repair; communicate technical solutions to customers.
• Technical sales: understand product specifications and benefits; build and nurture client relationships; explain complex concepts simply; negotiate sales deals; analyse client needs and market trends; work with marketing, engineering and customer support teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, industrial, aerospace, mechatronics, sustainability engineering or a related field.
• Must be a UAE national with a family book.
• Passion for an engineering-based career, adaptability to a diverse team, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, effective communication and organisational skills.
• Previous internship experience in related fields is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
