Engineering Manager – Aerospace Manufacturing

About the role

The Engineering Manager will lead the engineering function supporting aerospace manufacturing, overseeing process development, industrialisation, tooling, CNC programming and production readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams of process engineers, CNC programmers, technical SMEs and tooling engineers.
• Develop and optimise manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste and enhance product quality.
• Own manufacturing process definitions, control strategies and technical standards, ensuring capability, repeatability and long‑term stability.
• Oversee tooling and fixture design, CNC programming for complex parts and engineering activities for NPI, industrialisation, process qualification and production readiness.
• Provide technical support to production, lead root‑cause investigations and apply SPC, trend monitoring and data‑driven process control.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace standards (AS9100, AS13100) and drive Lean, Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of manufacturing engineering experience in an industrial or aerospace environment.
• 5–7 years in engineering leadership or management.
• Experience with forging and/or machining of safety‑critical components.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Lean/Six Sigma certification and/or PMP strongly preferred.

Required skills

• CNC programming and optimisation (CAD/CAM).
• Statistical Process Control (SPC) and process capability analysis.
• Knowledge of AS9100, AS13100 and other aerospace standards.
