Engineering Manager - High-Rise & Commercial Sites

About the role

Guildhall is recruiting an Engineering Manager for a large regional contractor-developer with live high-rise and commercial projects in Dubai. The role owns the technical and coordination side of active sites, covering structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical disciplines, and reports directly to the Project Director. The client is expanding its Dubai site team quickly and is hiring more than one senior technical role at once.

Key responsibilities

• Run the technical and coordination side of live high-rise or commercial sites in Dubai
• Sit across structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical teams daily
• Hold sub-contractors accountable for programme, quality and output
• Manage budgets, cost reporting, variance claims and settlements
• Review and approve design changes, materials and cost estimates
• Report directly to the Project Director on technical and site matters

Required profile

• Civil engineering degree, with professional certification where applicable
• 15-20 years in high-rise, commercial or industrial construction
• Direct experience supervising major construction sites, not office-based review
• Classified Unlimited Floors Engineer status
• Fluent Arabic and currently living in the UAE with GCC work experience

Required skills

• Budget management, cost reporting and claims experience
• Coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and third-party contractors
