Engineering Supervisor

About the role

The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for the maintenance, calibration and safe operation of all hotel equipment and systems at the Sheraton property in Sharjah. This role ensures that guest repair requests are addressed promptly while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and perform preventative maintenance on tools, appliances and equipment.
• Calibrate controls, gauges, meters and operate shut‑off valves.
• Conduct life‑safety checks, including fire‑pump and generator run tests.
• Inspect fire sprinkler valves and alarm systems.
• Manage inventory, order parts and maintain purchase order logs.
• Operate power lift and perform equipment inspections.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling and employee coaching.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• Minimum 2 years of related engineering/maintenance experience.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience.

Required skills

• Calibration of controls, gauges and meters.
• Operation of power lift equipment.
• Conducting fire‑pump run tests.
• Conducting generator run tests.
• Inspection of fire sprinkler valves and alarm systems.
• Inventory management using computer systems.
