Engineering Supervisor

About the role

The Engineering Supervisor at Aloft Abu Dhabi ensures the smooth operation and maintenance of hotel facilities, supporting guest comfort and safety. This full‑time onsite position involves hands‑on technical work and team leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and perform preventative maintenance on tools, appliances, and equipment, including calibration of controls and gauges.
• Conduct life‑safety checks such as fire‑pump and generator run tests, inspect fire sprinkler valves and alarm systems.
• Manage inventory, order parts, and maintain purchase order logs.
• Respond to guest repair requests and assist with disaster‑response protocol development.
• Support management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and coaching engineering staff.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school education.
• At least 2 years of relevant engineering/maintenance experience.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lb, reaching overhead, and navigating stairs.
