Engineering Supervisor

About the role

Viya, the UAE's leading golf and hospitality management group, is hiring an Engineering Supervisor in Abu Dhabi. The post sits in the Repairs and Maintenance department, reports to the Assistant Head of Engineering and supervises engineering maintenance staff and external contracting company staff. The aim is to ensure the effective and economical operation of all sections in line with department standards and to improve the quality and efficiency of repair and maintenance services.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise engineering maintenance and external contractor staff on attendance, quality of work and timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Generate and assign preventive maintenance schedules and checklist instructions, and ensure work follows the PMP schedule.
• Inspect regularly the function and safe operation of equipment under supervision, and control heat, light and power equipment according to club needs and weather conditions.
• Monitor material consumption by tradesmen, prepare requisitions and control the issue and use of materials.
• Take part in the club's emergency response team and report equipment defects to superiors.
• Carry out annual building inspections and monthly inspections of buildings and common areas, preparing reports.
• Assist the Head of Engineering in building an efficient engineering team and help deliver departmental training on fire, safety, health and hygiene policies.
• Follow workplace safety regulations, keep the workplace clean and maintain a neat appearance and uniform, especially in guest areas.
• Represent the department in committees such as the Staff Committee, Green Theme, Food Committee or Sport Committee, and be trained as a Fire Marshall or First Aider.
• Apply the 4 Service Steps to serve internal and external customers, and comply with information security policies and procedures.
