Engineering Technician - Waterpark

About the role

The Grand Hyatt Dubai is looking for an Engineering Technician for its waterpark. The role covers routine maintenance and repairs of waterpark equipment, buildings, fire life safety systems, water-based features, slides and pools, with the highest safety standards and in line with international water safety regulations and local authority guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on waterpark equipment, buildings, FLS systems, water features, activities, slides and pools, responding promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimise downtime.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, drawings and work orders to carry out maintenance and services.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, troubleshoot and adjust equipment as needed.
• Monitor and maintain water quality systems, including filtration, chemical dosing and circulation equipment, in compliance with safety and health standards.
• Carry out preventive maintenance according to approved schedules and record all maintenance work in the computerised maintenance management system.

Required profile

• Diploma or technical certification in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience maintaining waterparks, swimming pool systems, hospitality facilities or similar environments.
• Good understanding of safety procedures and regulatory requirements, and ability to work at heights, in confined spaces and on a rotational shift schedule when required.
• Able to work outdoors throughout the entire shift in varying weather conditions.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and water treatment systems, including pumps, motors, filtration equipment and control panels.
• Ability to read equipment manuals, drawings and work orders.
