ENT Consultant

About the role

The ENT Consultant provides comprehensive otolaryngology care to patients, managing a wide range of injuries, illnesses, and disorders within the specialty. This role involves direct patient interaction, diagnosis, treatment planning, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high‑quality care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, obtain medical histories, and order/interpret diagnostic tests.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, prescribe medication, and perform relevant procedures or surgeries.
• Collaborate with other specialists, departments, and support services to deliver integrated patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
• Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and research activities.
• Provide supervision, instruction, and mentorship to junior medical staff, residents, and students.
• Communicate clinical information compassionately to patients and families, obtaining informed consent as required.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent degree from a recognized medical school.
• Completed residency or fellowship in otolaryngology (ENT) or related specialization.
• Minimum 2–3 years of post‑specialization clinical experience.
• Valid DOH Abu Dhabi license or eligibility to practice in Abu Dhabi, and a current license from the country of last practice.
• Certificate of good standing from the relevant licensing authority.
• Successful completion of the DOH licensing exam.
• Fluency in English and Arabic; additional languages are an asset.
