Executive Director, Special Projects

About the role

Atlantis Dubai, part of Kerzner International and home to Atlantis, The Palm and Atlantis The Royal, is looking for an Executive Director, Special Projects to lead and oversee high-profile development, renovation and capital projects across its luxury hospitality portfolio. Reporting to the leadership team in Special Projects, the role drives project delivery from concept through completion, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards, acting as a key link between internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors, suppliers and operators.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of project managers and oversee multiple concurrent projects
• Drive project delivery from concept through completion
• Manage budgets, timelines, risk, procurement and contractor performance
• Engage with senior executives, consultants, contractors and operational teams

Required profile

• Minimum 20 years of project management experience
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the Dubai or UAE market
• Proven track record delivering large-scale hospitality, mixed-use or luxury development projects
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Architecture or a related field; professional project management certifications are an advantage

Required skills

• Tendering processes, contract administration and project governance
• Experience on luxury five-star hotel developments, renovations and fit-outs
• Managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Leadership, negotiation and stakeholder management
