Executive Pastry Chef

About the role

Park Hyatt Dubai is looking for an Executive Pastry Chef to oversee and manage all pastry and bakery operations across the hotel's Food & Beverage outlets, banquets and special events. The role covers menu development, cost control and team leadership, working closely with the Executive Chef and culinary leadership team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day pastry kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to Hyatt brand standards.
• Develop innovative dessert menus, pastries, cakes, breads, chocolates and seasonal specialties.
• Lead menu planning, seasonal promotions and special culinary events with the Executive Chef.
• Respond to operational challenges and implement practical, business-focused solutions.
• Lead, coach, mentor and develop the pastry team, create a positive work environment and encourage teamwork and professional growth.
• Take part in interviewing, hiring and performance management of pastry associates, and handle disciplinary procedures with the Executive Chef.
• Assist in inventory counts of equipment, ingredients and kitchen assets, and support culinary events, VIP functions and new outlet openings.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts or equivalent professional qualification.
• 8+ years of pastry experience, including leadership experience in luxury hotels.
• Proven ability to lead, train and develop pastry teams.

Required skills

• Strong pastry, bakery, dessert, chocolate and banquet production skills.
• Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP).
• Knowledge of luxury hospitality service excellence.
