Facilities Management (FM) Coordinator

About the role

The FM Coordinator acts as the central administrative and operational link for all hard facility management activities across a high‑density university student residential campus in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures uninterrupted MEP, civil and utility services while coordinating help‑desk ticketing, vendor dispatch and compliance reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of MEP systems, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire, CCTV, access control, laundry equipment and utilities infrastructure.
• Plan, schedule and monitor preventive, corrective and reactive maintenance using CAFM/CMMS tools, ensuring compliance with performance standards and statutory requirements.
• Lead and supervise maintenance technicians and external contractors, reviewing work methods, verifying completion and enforcing SLAs, KPIs and health‑and‑safety standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation, support audits, prepare regular maintenance reports and assist in asset register, lifecycle planning and utilities optimisation.
• Coordinate emergency response actions, risk assessments and mitigation measures for technical failures and safety incidents.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Facilities Engineering.
• 12–15 years of experience in hard services maintenance, including supervisory responsibility.
• Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems, building fabric, BMS and FM operations, preferably in student accommodation or similar environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAFM, BMS and Helpdesk ticketing systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting and technical problem‑solving abilities.
