F&B Supervisor, Noor Lounge (Arabic or French Speaking)

About the role

Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai, is looking for an F&B Supervisor for its Noor Lounge. The role leads a section of the restaurant, supervises the floor team and ensures smooth operations, with a requirement to speak Arabic or French.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a section, supervise the floor team, assign tasks and ensure opening and closing checklists are completed.
• Know the outlet concept, menu and beverage offerings and explain them accurately to guests, including events and activations.
• Ensure shift-to-shift mise en place, equipment handling and cleanliness of front and back of house, and train new colleagues on F&B standards (SOS).
• Operate POS systems, process food and beverage orders, handle cash, credit cards and non-cash payments including MO Gift Cards, and assist with billing.
• Deliver courteous, personalized service, upsell products and create memorable guest experiences.
• Monitor presentation standards, manage stock and conserve equipment.
• Communicate guest preferences, allergies and special requests to colleagues and management, and support other outlets.
• Help with side duties, pick up and arrange stock (linen, beverages, dry goods) and act as the link between the floor team and management.
• Mentor and coach team members, foster a cooperative team environment and uphold policies and standards.

Required profile

• Fluent verbal and written English is essential; Arabic or French is a must.
• High school qualification or equivalent preferred; degree or higher national diploma in hospitality/hotel/business management preferred.
• Experience in a high-volume restaurant and luxury hotel preferred; minimum 2 years as senior waiter or chef de rang.
• Ability to work long hours with a focus on operational excellence.

Required skills

• Familiarity with restaurant POS and cashiering procedures preferred.
• Knowledge of dining and lounge service procedures and standards.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office preferred.
