Financial Controller – Finance Leadership Role

About the role

This senior finance position partners with the Board and senior management to drive financial performance across the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar and upcoming markets. The Financial Controller leads financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and operational controls, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full accounting function including general ledger, AP, AR, fixed assets, inventory, payroll accounting, inter‑company transactions and banking.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and financial planning for sales, gross margin, OPEX, CAPEX and working capital.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decisions and improve profitability, cash conversion and cost efficiency.
• Prepare trend analyses and reports on financial results, cost‑income ratios and present insights to senior management and the Board.
• Manage statutory compliance, VAT and tax governance across all operating markets.
• Supervise cash‑flow management, bank reconciliations and working‑capital discipline.
• Develop inventory reporting mechanisms and monitor stock ageing, best sellers and slow movers.
• Lead, coach and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors and financial institutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CA or equivalent qualification preferred.
• 8–12 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including 4–5 years in a senior controlling role.
• Proven ability to lead finance functions in a multi‑entity environment.
