FinOps Assistant (UAE National)

About the role

Ounass is looking for a detail-oriented, organised UAE National to join its Finance Operations team as a FinOps Assistant in Dubai. The role supports accurate transactions and reconciliations while building practical finance skills alongside an experienced team. It is a full-time hybrid position.

Key responsibilities

• Process invoices, expense claims and other finance transactions accurately and on time
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable, including checking supporting documents and following up on queries
• Help prepare and maintain records for payments, refunds and other transactions in line with internal procedures
• Support bank, supplier and account reconciliations, escalating discrepancies when needed
• Maintain up-to-date finance records and file documents appropriately
• Assist with month-end activities, including gathering information and preparing schedules and reports
• Respond to routine finance queries and direct complex matters to the right team member
• Obtain approvals and resolve incomplete or inaccurate documentation with internal teams
• Follow finance policies, approval processes and controls, and handle information with confidentiality

Required profile

• UAE National, in line with the requirements of the role
• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field preferred
• Some experience in a finance, accounts or administrative role is an advantage; motivated entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply
• Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage

Required skills

• Basic understanding of finance processes such as invoicing, payments and reconciliations
• Good numerical skills and strong attention to detail
• Confident with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and able to learn finance systems and tools
• Well organised, dependable and able to meet deadlines
