Fiscal Affairs Specialist

About the role

The Fiscal Affairs Specialist will support the Group’s tax operations across the Middle East, ensuring compliance with regional tax laws, internal governance standards, and Group policies. Reporting to the Middle East Group Head of Tax, the role works closely with internal stakeholders, external advisors, and tax authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end tax compliance for VAT, Corporate Tax and other statutory returns across the GCC.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors, auditors and government authorities.
• Maintain and enhance tax governance frameworks and internal controls.
• Support tax audits, disputes and litigation, preparing required documentation.
• Monitor tax law changes in UAE, KSA, Qatar, Oman and Iraq and assess impact.
• Assist with Transfer Pricing compliance, documentation and inter‑company policy alignment.
• Provide technical tax guidance to business units on transactions and contracts.
• Maintain accurate tax records, reconciliations and reporting.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of tax processes, systems and automation initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, taxation or related field.
• 4–6 years of tax experience in the UAE and broader GCC, preferably from a Big 4 firm or a reputable in‑house tax department.
• Strong knowledge of VAT, with exposure to Corporate Tax and Transfer Pricing.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and deliver high‑quality work under pressure.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
