Flight Simulator Support Technician (Level I)

About the role

As a Flight Simulator Support Technician I, you will ensure that CAE’s flight simulator and cabin crew training devices are qualified, available, and ready for every training session. You will carry out routine technical work, perform first‑line troubleshooting, and support data and content updates, directly contributing to safe and reliable aviation training.

Key responsibilities

• Support flight simulator and cabin crew training devices by attending maintenance calls, handling device set‑up, conversions and demonstrations.
• Independently complete preventive maintenance tasks (PMTs) and daily readiness checks, and oversee more complex tasks performed by Simulator Support Assistants.
• Maintain accurate PMT/DR records and use the Maintenance Management System to track activities.
• Run recurrent QTGs, troubleshoot using schematics and system documentation, and support data updates such as navigation and terrain databases.
• Manage consumables and tooling stock, raise requisitions, and assist with logistics activities including inventories and shipping preparation.
• Perform housekeeping and administrative tasks to support the Technical Services group while adhering to health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Technical college diploma or degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or an aviation‑related field.
• At least 2 years of experience working with flight simulators.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Customer‑focused attitude with the ability to build effective working relationships.
• Knowledge of local and international aviation regulations (e.g., EASA, UAE DGCA) as they apply to flight training devices.
