Flying Instructor – Pilot Training Academy

About the role

The Emirates Flight Training Academy (EFTA) in Dubai South seeks a qualified Flying Instructor to deliver high‑quality flight training to ab‑initio cadets. You will start on SR‑22 single‑engine aircraft with the potential to progress to the DA42 twin‑engine fleet.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑aircraft, simulator and ground instruction to cadets.
• Prepare lesson plans, conduct pre‑ and post‑flight briefings, and write accurate performance reports.
• Monitor cadet proficiency, conduct regular checks, and ensure safety standards are met.
• Report incidents and safety violations promptly.
• Research and recommend new training methods to improve learning outcomes.

Required profile

• Ab‑initio flying instructional experience with a large ATO.
• Minimum 700 total flight hours, including 500 instructional hours and 200 IFR hours.
• GCAA or ICAO CPL or ATPL with Single Engine Class Rating.
• Flight Instructor Rating with Night and Instrument privileges.
• Class 1 Medical Certificate without restrictions.
• ICAO English Language Proficiency level 5 or higher.

Required skills

• Proficiency on SR‑22 single‑engine aircraft.
• Knowledge of DA42 twin‑engine operations (potential).
• Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
• Single Engine Class Rating.
• Flight Instructor Rating with night and instrument privileges.
• Class 1 Medical certification.
• ICAO English Language Proficiency level 5.
• Computer literacy.
