Food & Beverage Intern

About the role

The InterContinental Fujairah Resort, a five-star resort on Al Aqah Beach with 190 rooms, event spaces, restaurants and a bar, is looking for a Food & Beverage Intern. You will assist in food and beverage operations and work closely with the team to deliver outstanding service to guests, gaining hands-on experience from guest service to back-of-house support.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests and take food and beverage orders promptly and professionally
• Attend to guests' needs and prepare food and beverages for service, presenting them to health and presentation standards
• Clean and clear tables efficiently and maintain wait staff stations throughout the shift
• Perform opening and closing duties for the department or outlet as required
• Follow hotel safety protocols and report any safety or service incidents to the supervisor or manager on duty

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, Food & Beverage Management or a related field
• Previous experience or on-the-job training in a similar position
• Ability to lift and carry items, move around the restaurant, bend, stoop and kneel, and handle plates, trays and glasses
• Flexible to work nights, weekends and/or holidays
