Housekeeping Coordinator

About the role

A full-time, non-management Housekeeping Coordinator position at a Le Méridien hotel in Fujairah, UAE. The role runs room status reports, coordinates housekeeping with engineering, front office and laundry, and supports housekeeping management in daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Run sold room reports, verify room status, identify discrepant rooms and prioritise room cleaning
• Update the status of departing guest rooms and document and resolve discrepant-room issues with the Front Desk
• Prepare and distribute room assignments to housekeeping staff and record, monitor and update the list of 'Do Not Disturb' rooms
• Ensure vacant dirty rooms are cleaned on time, assign rush rooms and rooms previously on the 'Do Not Disturb' list
• Complete required housekeeping paperwork and act as a liaison between housekeeping, engineering, front office and laundry
• Follow company and safety/security policies, report maintenance problems, hazards, accidents or injuries, and complete safety training and certifications
• Welcome guests, anticipate their service needs and ensure quality standards are met
• Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality and respect for company assets, and build positive working relationships with colleagues

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• At least 1 year of related work experience
• No supervisory experience required
• Ability to stand, sit or walk for long periods and lift objects up to 10 pounds
