Food & Hygiene Safety Officer

About the role

Ultimate HR Solutions is hiring a Food Hygiene & Safety Officer for a leading organization in the UAE. The role ensures high standards of food hygiene and safety across food and beverage operations and supports compliance with food safety regulations and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor food hygiene and safety across food preparation, production, storage and service.
• Carry out regular hygiene audits and inspections and prepare reports, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Maintain HACCP, CCP, OPRP and food safety records.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor the personal hygiene and health records of food handlers.
• Support food safety investigations and handle related customer complaints.
• Inspect external food outlets, suppliers and catering operations when required, and support food safety activities at events and exhibitions.
• Coordinate with Operations, Culinary, HR, Engineering, Housekeeping and other teams on food safety matters.

Required profile

• Diploma in Food Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences or a related field; a Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Food Science or Microbiology is an advantage.
• Level 3 Food Hygiene & Safety certification required; Level 4 Food Hygiene or HACCP Auditor certification is an advantage.
• HACCP and ISO 22000 training required.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in hospitality, hotels, catering, food manufacturing or similar; experience in events, exhibitions or large-scale F&B operations is preferred.
• Flexibility to work during events, at different locations, and extended hours, weekends and public holidays.
