Food Services Supervisor

About the role

The Ritz-Carlton is looking for a Food Services Supervisor in Dubai to lead its food and beverage team and deliver the brand's Gold Standards of service. The position is full-time and non-management, based at the DIFC property off Sheikh Zayed Road.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure staff work as a team to provide optimum service and meet guest needs
• Inspect staff grooming and attire and correct any deficiencies
• Complete opening and closing duties, including setting up supplies and tools, cleaning equipment and areas, and securing the premises
• Inspect storage areas for organization, FIFO use and cleanliness, and complete scheduled inventories and stock requisitions
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety and guest well-being
• Complete work orders for maintenance repairs
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline and coaching, and act as the first point of contact for the Open Door Policy
• Follow company and safety/security policies, report accidents and unsafe conditions, and complete required safety training
• Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality and protection of company assets
• Welcome guests, anticipate their needs, assist people with disabilities and thank them sincerely
• Develop positive working relationships, support the team and suggest improvements to efficiency, quality, safety and cost savings

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• At least 2 years of related work experience
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience
• Able to stand, sit or walk for an extended period, lift up to 50 pounds, move through narrow or elevated spaces and read small print
