Forward Deployed Software Engineer

About the role

Northslope is looking for a Forward Deployed Software Engineer who will partner directly with customers to design, build, and maintain AI‑driven applications that solve high‑impact business problems. You will work on‑site and remotely, translating enterprise data into operational workflows that executives and operators can use daily.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with client stakeholders to understand critical objectives and translate them into technical solutions.
• Architect, develop, and deploy production‑grade applications using Python and/or Typescript.
• Build end‑to‑end data pipelines that handle large structured and unstructured datasets.
• Iterate quickly, prototype from scratch, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Embed with customer teams, providing ongoing support and driving adoption of the solutions.

• Strong customer‑obsession and willingness to go beyond the original scope to deliver value.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently, own outcomes, and travel 10‑33% of the time for client implementations.
• Effective collaboration with both technical and non‑technical teammates.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python.
• Proficiency in Typescript.
• Experience building production applications that process large datasets.
• Familiarity with AI/ML‑enabled software solutions (e.g., Palantir Foundry is a plus).
