Head of Cyber Security Operations Center - Shift A

About the role

The Head of the Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC) – Shift A will lead the 24x7x365 security monitoring team at the Barakah site. This senior position ensures seamless shift handovers, optimal operation of monitoring tools, and rapid response to cyber threats.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the CSOC team across all shifts, using advanced monitoring and analytics technologies to detect and respond to threats.
• Develop, maintain, and report on performance metrics, SLA/KPI compliance, and operational readiness.
• Oversee the creation, implementation, and continuous improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Incident Response Plans (IRP).
• Act as the first escalation point for potential incidents, coordinating communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage situation awareness, provide regular threat updates, and promote a security‑focused culture.
• Coach and develop staff, ensuring high‑quality incident handling and adherence to timelines.
• Support configuration and tuning of security tools, evaluate rules, filters, and use cases to enhance detection capabilities.
• Facilitate collaboration between the CSOC and other security teams to improve overall detection and response effectiveness.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a CSOC or comparable security operations team.
• Strong understanding of incident response processes and security monitoring best practices.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and shift handovers.
• Ability to develop and enforce SOPs, IRPs, and performance metrics.
• Track record of coaching teams to meet SLA/KPI targets.
