Freelance Accountant (Full-Time, Hybrid)

About the role

NÓRA LLC, a fast-growing e-commerce business in Dubai, is seeking a detail-oriented Freelance Accountant to manage its day-to-day finance function on a full-time, hybrid basis. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate books, reconciling transactions, and delivering timely financial reports.

Key responsibilities

• Perform accounting and bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, classification, and bank transaction reconciliation.
• Reconcile Shopify sales and payment-gateway data (e.g., Stripe) with bank statements.
• Match supplier and partner accounts, record operational expenses, and maintain cash-transaction reconciliations each month.
• Prepare daily P&L updates and monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Maintain VAT/FTA filing trackers and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations.
• Coordinate with vendors, auditors, and tax advisors, and continuously improve finance processes.

Required profile

• 5+ years of accounting experience in e-commerce or at a Big 4 firm, preferably UAE-based.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and local tax rules.
• Ability to work independently during UAE business hours (9 AM–6 PM GST) and meet strict reporting deadlines.
• High level of discretion with confidential financial information.

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with Shopify and payment-gateway reconciliation.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks.
• Advanced Excel/spreadsheet abilities.
