About the role
The Front Desk Officer is the first point of contact for visitors and callers, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience. This role supports smooth office operations by handling reception duties, managing communications, and coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.
Key responsibilities
- Greet and direct visitors in person and via telephone, notifying relevant staff of arrivals or cancellations.
- Maintain a tidy, well‑stocked reception area with necessary stationery, forms and brochures.
- Answer, transfer and take messages on the switchboard, providing accurate information to callers.
- Sort, distribute and log mail, courier packages and deliveries promptly.
- Control access to the building by monitoring the visitor logbook and issuing badges.
- Liaise with vendors for quotations, purchase orders and invoice payments, coordinating with purchasing and finance teams.
- Assist and supervise office assistants as needed.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of relevant front‑desk or administrative experience.
- Strong communication, organizational and planning abilities.
- High integrity, attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
- Effective time‑management and ability to work under pressure.
